Biography:

Brittny Gastineau (November 6, 1984) is an American born socialite and model, as well as the daughter of NFL legend, New York Jets defensive end , Mark Gastineau, and his wife, Lisa Gastineau.

Brittny was born in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, where her parents met and married while attending the University of Alabama. The Gastineaus relocated to New York City where Mark began a career with the National Football League. Shortly after Mark's career began, Lisa walked in on him cheating on her with actress Bridgette Nielsen. Brittny was sent to live with her grandparents during her parents bitter divorce, and attended private school in Manhattan before following in her parents footsteps and enrolling at the University of Alabama, to study event planning.

After completing only one semester, Gastineau returned to home to the Upper East Side of Manhattan, New York, and moved into her mother's swanky penthouse apartment. She began to pursue a career in modeling, and attained a spread in Stuff Magazine almost immediatley. Joining her mother Lisa, Brittny attended numerous social functions in New York and found herself a regular in Manhattan society pages, as well as on Page Six, a popular gossip colum in the New York Post. During 2004, her love life was well documented, including relationships with fashion model and actor Jason Lewis, Jason Strauss (owner of Marquee, an upscale nightclub), Francois Kress (fashion designer for Bvlgari), and renowned publicist Johnathon Cheban.

Gastineau's increasing popularity on the New York social scene was recognized by couture fashion designers who longed to have the then 21 year old photographed wearing their collections. She attended fashion shows during New York fashion week for designers Luca Luca, Donna Karan, J. Mendel Furrier, Diane Von Furstenburg and Carlos Miele. Brittny also attended the New York premiere of "Beyond the Sea" starring Kevin Spacey, John Goodman, and her friend Kate Bosworth.

Brittny's popularity continued to increase, and this sparked the attention of executives at the E! Entertainment Network, who were interested in signing her as an on-air correspondant to gain backstage insight into the world of New York social society. Instead, the network decided to follow Brittny, and her mother Lisa, as they lived this lifestyle themselves, this way to gain full access, as opposed to just specific events. In early 2005, "Gastineau Girls" debuted on the E! Network to mixed critical responses, but strong ratings. The reality show, chronicled the lives of New York's most noticeable socialites, showcasing their partying, spending and behavioral habits. The program quickly became the highest rated program in the channel's history, averaging over 2 million viewers a week.

Following the success of "Gastineau Girls", Brittny saw modeling opportunities increase. During Mercedes Benz Fashion Week 2005 in Bryant Park, Manhattan, New York, Brittny walked runways for haute couture designers Anne Bowen and Anna Sui. Shortly thereafter she signed a European advertising campaign, and endorsement deal with L'Oreal Paris, and became the face of high end casual wear designer, Ed Hardy, as well as its upscale line Christian Audiger. Gastineau closed out 2005 by ranking #60 on Maxim's Hot 100 list.

Brittny's celebrity continued to expand as she attended club openings, movie premieres (Wedding Crashers, Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith), magazine parties (Esquire, Maxim) clothing line launches (Kitson, Scoop NYC), and continued to date prominent men, such as Backstreet Boys' Nick Carter and record producer Richard Voll. In late 2005, Brittny also joined her friends, socialites Fabian Basabe, Courtenay Semel and Kourtney Kardashian on an 8 episode reality competition, Filthy Rich: Cattle Drive, where society kids lived and worked on a Colorado Cattle Ranch. The program was produced by Joe Simpson (father of Jessica and Ashlee), and also aired on the E! Network.

In 2006, the first season of "Gastineau Girls" was released on DVD, as the E! Network began airing the highly anticipated second season. Brittny was announced as the celebrity face of AOL as the season debuted, and also became the first celebrity to contribute a podcast for iTunes. The second season was much more popular than the first, and the opportunities for both mother and daughter seemed endless. Designer Jason Wu, released limited edition "Gastineau Girls" barbie dolls, and Brittny signed modeling contracts with M.A.C. cosmetics, and continued her work as a runway model for H&M, Heatherette, Nanette LaPore and Dash. She also developed a limited edition accessory line that was first carried exclusively at Sephoria stores, but then quickly turned into a full fledged line, known as Tres Glam, with designing contributions from her mother as well.

Following the season finale of the second season of "Gastineau Girls", Brittny became a re-occuring guest host on daytime television hit, The View, and was also featured on NBC's game show Identity. She appeared on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, The Issac Mizrahi show and later on Lifetime Network's "Top This Party", where she hosted a charity benefit in the honor of her friend Fabian Basabe.

Brittny currently lives in Los Angelous, California, where she is signed to the Elite Modeling Agency and is pursuing a career in acting. She has recently signed a development deal with MTV for her own show, as well as working with Diane Von Furstenburg on a signature dress line both due late this year.
